Lauren Hart receives multiple PhD scholarships

We are excited to report that Lauren Hart, who spent about three years with us as a research assistant got into a PhD program at Sherbrooke University in Canada. Moreover, she received the FRQS Master’s Research Grant ($40,000 CAD) to support her upcoming graduate studies at the Université de Sherbrooke, where she will apply brain mapping techniques to improve treatment for drug-resistant epilepsy. She was also awarded The Savoy Foundation Master’s Research Grant ($15,000 CAD; partial acceptance), a Canadian studentship which supports trainees dedicated to advancing epilepsy research. Additionally, she was selected for the J.A. DeSève Excellence Scholarship ($35,000 CAD; declined in favor of FRQS), which recognizes top-ranked students pursuing biomedical research. These awards will support her transition from the Netstim to a new role as a MSc student in Sherbrooke, with plans to fast-track into a PhD.
